BOSTON CLUB was established in 1984 and is named after one of the popular frame shapes “Pantos” which spread from London to Japan in the early 80’s, known as “Boston” in Japan. Each model name is related to the United Kingdom. Launching new collections twice a year, Boston Club is a fashionable brand targeted at young people and widely sold in eyewear stores and apparel shops in Japan. The collections have a wide range of styles from acetate Windsor rims, detailed filigree work on metal, preppy casual flip-ups and acetate insert that were all on trend back in 1984. Those styles are now revived as a “new Japanese tradition” by combining original collections into current collections to give a good vintage taste.
